The reason why a safety pin is "Safe" is because the tip of the pin is covered by a cap when stored.

However, just because we use it to make a badge does not mean it becomes a Safe Badge.

Recently, badges are often used as anime goods, and even young children wear them.

It's a concern for parents to let their children handle items with sharp pins.

When we thought about what safety means for badges, we concluded that we cannot make a Safe Badge without considering safety not only in the "pin-stored state" but also during "attachment and detachment".

Even for small children or those who have some difficulty with their hands,

being able to safely and easily attach and detach is a very important factor in discussing the "Safety of Badges", we believe.

The New Standard Safety Pin : A Fusion of Two Excellent Pin Elements

There is a traditional pin called the Z-pin (double hook pin) that has been used for badges for a long time.

A major feature of this pin is that it can stand on its own due to the wire curved into a Z shape.

Thanks to this structure, when made into a badge, it never falls over no matter what angle force is applied from, achieving safe insertion and removal of the pin.

The ZecurePIN® is a fusion of the features of the "Z-Pin", which specializes in the safety of insertion and removal, and the "Japanese Safety Pin", which specializes in safety when the pin is stored.

As you can see, we have added the element of the "Japanese Safety Pin" by attaching a cap to the tip of the pin, while keeping the basic Z-shaped structure.

The completed badge is designed so that the bent part of the pin wire is sandwiched between the shell and the back parts.

Thanks to this structure, while maintaining a moderate play, the pin is fixed in an upright position, allowing for stable operation.

It may seem like a simple idea.

But this is indeed the new standard in the "Safety Pin for Badges" industry that everyone can use with peace of mind.

What sets our safety pin badges apart from others?

While the idea of combining Z pins and safety pins is unique to our company,

badges (back parts) using safety pins can also be found in other companies' products.

Most of these products are designed to be held by a "claw" provided on the back part side of the existing safety pin,

but in reality, this mechanism has a "clear drawback".

You can only move the pin when it's upright and you carefully apply force from a specific direction to prevent it from falling over,

Due to the structure of the safety pin, you have to apply force in the left-right direction at least once, which makes it extremely difficult and dangerous to operate with one hand.

Even when using both hands, one finger has to hold the cap, so there's a risk of injury from the finger coming into contact with the tip of the pin during insertion and removal.

What are the real evaluations from users?

In the previous section, we compared the features of our ZecurePIN® back parts and those of other companies' safety pin back parts,

but we conducted an offline survey to find out what impressions people would have when they actually look at it from a third-party perspective.

Survey Method: Home Use Test (HUT)

A Home Use Test (HUT) is a method of surveying the evaluation of a product by having the target person try it out at home.

You can get real answers from users who have actually touched the product about how it is used in real life and their impressions and evaluations of using it.

This time, as the survey target, we had "110 adults with children in elementary school or younger" try out two types of completed badges, and mainly evaluated their safety.
